The Longest Haul

Now Booking: Phoenix to the UK and Europe

Orbital Airways has entered the super-long haul market with two new critical round-trip routes: Phoenix to London and Phoenix to Cologne-Bonn, the latter of which is connecting Orbital Airways’ west coast USA operation with its European partner, Air Teremun.

The new route has entered preliminary service using Airbus A350 and Boeing 777-300 aircraft. Orbital Airways will be operating between Phoenix and both London airports, Heathrow and Gatwick, using an alternating-day schedule with no flights operating on Sundays.

The change comes as Orbital Airways works to expand its international presence utilizing more modernized long-haul aircraft, such as the A350. Just earlier this year, it was announced that Orbital Airways would start to retire some of its A300 widebody aircraft and transition them to a new cargo division, beginning operations later this summer. Some A300 aircraft are already being removed from routes and sent for freighter conversion.

Orbital Airways will be holding a inaugural route event for pilots and staff towards the end of June to celebrate the new milestone, and will be awarding triple bonus points for flying the new route.

The recently-purchased A350 is a star performer on these new routes
